ISLAND CONNECTIONS


a four month residency on the isle of wight, in the old home and darkroom of julia margaret cameron





Presented are a collection of salt prints, made in Julia Margaret Cameron’s darkroom using large format negatives taken whilst on residence. The series, origionally inspired by Southampton’s industrial Fawley refinery which is visible from most points on the north side of the Island, explores island culture and the physical things and places which connect those experiences.
